CM inspected the construction work of the MLAs' residences

Agartala: Sept 14: On Tuesday, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb visited the Capital Complex area to inspect the progress of the newly constructed housing for MLAs. Secretary of the Urban Development Department Kiran Gitte was also present .
Chief Minister toured the whole management and talked to the engineers. He later said that new housing complex was needed for MLAs. Because now the MLAs have that residence, it is also given to the employees of the University and the central government. As such, the number of government residences is less. That is why the construction of new houses for the MLAs was started in 2016. Now the construction work of this newly constructed government housing has been almost completed. There is still some work to be done.
The MLAs has a gym, park and canteen in the newly constructed residence, this accommodation has been made with all facilities. There are a total of 46 flats in this accommodation with two bed room, drawing room, kitchen, bathroom.
The Chief Minister hoped that after the inauguration of this new residence, the accommodation of MLAs and officials could be arranged. GB hospital on one side, private hospitals on the other, the Secretariat, the Legislative Assembly are all there. The Chief Minister said that allotment will be given for staying in this residence in a very short time. He also hoped that the public representatives would get his benefits.
