Blood donation camp held at Ramthakur College

Agartala: Jan 12: This afternoon a grand blood donation camp organized by the NSS unit of Ramthakur College. Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta choudhury attend the blood donation camp as a chief guest.
He thanked the blood donors in the blood donation camp for their great service. “We all know that any charity is a great work, giving food to the poor, giving shelter to the homeless, giving water to the thirsty, all are works of virtue. But there is no greater deed and religion than blood donation to the dying. So blood donation is another name for life donation”, said Sushanta Choudhury.
He further said “ We all need to keep a watchful eye on the Corona situation so that the amount of blood is not less than required. So we all need to increase our publicity for blood donation. We need to do more to make people aware and inspire us to move forward in this work”.
Now there are blood donation camps in different clubs, colleges, different institutions where young men and women are voluntarily coming forward and donating blood. Sushanta express his gratitude to all the college students who came forward to donate blood in the blood donation camp organized by the NSS unit of Ramthakur College. He said that the main goal of the students should be to inspire, encourage and be enterprising in humanitarian activities through blood donation from college life.
He hoped that the students of Ramthakur College would play a more active role in fulfilling their social responsibilities. Today, he thanked all those who have volunteered for blood donation and wish them a bright future and good health.
Acting Principal of Ramthakur College Dr. Deepak Bardhan, Secretary of Teachers Council of Ramthakur College Dr. Arjun Gope, Tripura State NSS Officer Dr. Chitrajit Bhowmik, Program Officer of NSS Unit of the College, Shyam Medical Officer Bijan Saha and other eminent persons were present on today’s blood donation camp.
