Agartala: Jan 13: On Thursday, Tripura Congress state president Birjit Sinha condemned Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's remarks against the Punjab government.

Addressing the media, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Wednesday slammed the Punjab government, saying, "The Punjab government has planned to harm Prime Minister Narendra Modi to involve Khalistani terrorists." In a statement, Sinha said, "Thousands of guards, police surrounded Prime Minister Narendra Modi. How could anyone kill him? Besides, when the Supreme Court has formed a four-member team to investigate, why is Biplab Deb talking nonsense? Anyone can protest. It happened during the Prime Minister's visit and it just happened."

"If anyone wants to be a leader of the nation, he must be tolerant. The farmers died during the protest, they have demands. The Prime Minister should review why the people are angry and their demands must be met, "Sinha added.
