Agartala: Jan 13: Thirteenth festival in twelve months of Bengali and every festival are celebrated by the Bengalis in a festive mood. Like other festivals, one of the other festivals of Bengalis is sweet cake festival on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
Every year on Poush Sankranti i.e. Mokor Sankranti, Bengalis are busy making sweet cake. That is why since this morning in the rural areas, on the one hand, women have been busy covering up for the ‘Guri Kota’, it is a matter of joy for Bengali women.
On the other hand, the young ones were busy to make ‘Burir Ghor’. This joy is also a great achievement for those little ones. That is why it was seen that the youngsters are helping the little ones to build the old woman's house as much as they can. In the age of modernity, the happy days of that ancient village of Bengal will not be able to be different; in fact, it will be floated in the memory again.
In the end, it can be said that the Bengalis are busy to celebrate Poush Sankranti or Makar Sankranti.
