Agartala: June 30: No alternative party to the BJP has yet emerged in the villages and suburbs. Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury made this demand at a review meeting on the results of the Agartala Center on Thursday.

Various political parties have started reviewing the results of the 4 seats of the just-concluded Assembly by-elections. The ruling BJP won three of the four seats but failed to win the Agartala assembly seat. The Bharatiya Janata Party held a review meeting on Thursday to discuss the results of the center. A review meeting was held at Dasharath Dev Memorial Auditorium in Krishnanagar on this day. Leaders of different levels of BJP in the assembly constituency took part. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, candidate Dr Ashok Sinha, Mandal president Hiralal Debnath and others were present.

While discussing, the Minister brought up various issues. Talking about the results of the four centers, he claimed that no alternative party to the BJP has yet been formed in the villages and suburbs. There is considerable doubt as to whether it will be able to do so in the next six months. People are in favor of BJP. Sushanta Chowdhury said that the closer the election is, the more the CPM-Congress kinship will be revealed.
