By Discover Tripura Correspondent

Agartala: Sept 26: As previously announced on Monday, there was a 10,323-strong assembly walkout. The area was heated where the circuit house of the capital is located around the raid. It is to be noted that on Monday, police prevented 10,323 Bidhan Sabha Chalo Abhiyan from coming to the Circuit House area from the front of Rabindra Centenary Building with RTI documents in hand.

Water cannons were fired at the sacked teachers. But the dismissed teacher tried to break the police barricade and move towards the assembly. It was then that police, TSR and CRPF jawans pounced on the sacked teachers. Police, TSR and CRPF jawans in charge of security were not satisfied with massive lathi-charge. The jawans started kicking them on the road. Finally, the agitating sacked teachers entered the TomToms and dustbins standing by the roadside. But it was seen that police and CRPF jawans wearing black glasses and helmets went there and took out the sacked teachers and threw them on the side of the road and beat them with sticks. Tear gas was thrown on the sacked teachers. Three teachers collapsed on the spot. They started stumbling on the street with breathing problem.

Two teachers were seriously injured. Immediately they were sent by ambulance to GB Hospital. Many dismissed teachers were injured in the incident. The sacked teachers said they had appealed to the Chief Minister to give an opportunity to the 60 state legislators to discuss the issue in the last assembly session of the current government's five-year tenure. And to decide to send 10,323 sacked teachers back to school ahead of the September 23 assembly elections. But as no constructive role was taken, it was decided that the Assembly should organize a campaign. And with the commencement of this session on this day, this kind of larceny was organized in the Circuit House area, a few hundred meters away from the Legislative Assembly. Dismissed teacher Bijay Krishna Saha said if the legislators do not discuss them in the assembly session, then what is their value after voting to make them legislators? And if they can not properly fulfill the duties of legislators, then their responsibility to travel with expensive expensive cars? This movement was not against any particular political party. This movement is discussed in the assembly to take a positive role. But the events of this day made the fired teachers desperate. Dismissed teacher Dalia Das said that 10,323 employed people and 100,000 people associated with them will topple the current government just like the 25-year-old government was brought down if the government does not take a supportive role for them before the next 23rd election. And strongly condemning the role of the police in the incident of the day, he said that the police have been beaten like this by being party slaves.
