Woman dead body recovered

Agartala: Nov 28: In a pathetic incident the half-naked body of a woman who had been missing for four months was recovered. The deceased woman has been identified as Lakshmi Das (43) of Mangalkhali Ward No. 3 area under Dharmanagar Police Station. The husband of the deceased said that four months earlier, Lakshmi Das had eloped with another youth. Then a missing diary was registered with Dharmanagar police station. Even after filing a missing diary at the police station, no trace of the woman was found.
Meanwhile, a local woman found the half-naked body of Lakshmi Das in a vacant lot next to the paddy field near her husband's house. Immediately, the woman informed the people of the area about the incident. Local residents informed the dead woman's husband and the police. The deceased's husband and the police rushed to the spot after being informed about the incident. Police recovered the body from the spot and took it to the hospital for post-mortem. There is excitement in the area around the incident. Local residents suspect that Lakshmi Das may have been killed after being raped.
