ANM-MPW workers demand for recruitment

Agartala: Aug 10: ANM-MPW workers were arrested when they came to demand employment. Trained unemployed people expressed their anger today. About 1,000 ANM-MPW unemployed youths are sitting in the state with training from various institutions. Complaints are that they are not employed.
It is also alleged that there are many vacancies but they are not being appointed for almost four to five years. In this situation, ANM and MPW workers have met the director two or three times in the health department to demand employment.
Still they complain that they are not being hired. Only assurances are given. Frustration rise among the trained unemployed in this situation. Therefore, ANM -MPW unemployed went to the health department on Wednesday demanding re-employment. On this day, All Tripura Unemployed ANM - MPW gave a deputation to the director of the Department of Family Welfare and Disease Prevention. They demanded to fill about 800 vacant posts. Meanwhile, when they were going to Secretariate from Gurkhabasti, the police stopped them. As a result, unemployed youths started protesting on the streets.
Later the police arrested the protestors and took them to AD Nagar police line. Meanwhile, the unemployed were arrested when they complained about the role of the police and demanded jobs.Tags: Tripura Others
