On line booking portal for Tripura Tourism launched

Agartala: Aug 10: A newly developed online booking portal for Tripura Tourism was launched at the State Guest House on Wednesday under the initiative of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited. Minister Pranajit Singh Roy launched the online booking portal on this day. A new government was established in 2018. Then in 2020, due to Corona, lock down was announced across the country. Minister Pranjit Singh Roy presented the statistics of the rate of domestic and international tourists who came to the state during this period.
He said that in 2015-16, during the previous government's tenure; about three and a half lakh international tourists came to the state and foreign tourists come over 35 thousand. After the new government came to that place, the domestic tourists in 2018-19 are over 4 lakhs in the state and international tourists come over 1 lakh 12 thousand. In 2021-22, the number of domestic tourists is about 2 lakh. But only 36 foreign tourists come in Tripura. They come from Bangladesh. He said that due to covid, tourists have lost. Modern boating facilities have been arranged at Dambur, Chhabimura. There are water scooters in Rajbari. Paragliding will be started at Bhangmun. People all over the world will get the benefit of online booking. Tripura will be recognized as a tourist kingdom. The minister said that new investment will come in the field of tourism. He said that a large number of tourists come to the state from Bangladesh. A digital museum will be set up in the state.
It will cost Rs 40 crore, Rs 10 crore has already been paid. Minister Pranjit Singh Roy said that the government is not worried about being behind in anything. He also said that the government is paying special attention to the financial development of the state by utilizing tourism.
