Mayor inaugurated 10 water tanks

Agartala: Aug 10: On the occasion of Azadika Amrit Mahotsav, Agartala Municipal Corporation inaugurated ten new tanks of 1000 liters of drinking water. Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumder waved the green flag and inaugurated the new tank. Later, Mayor Deepak Majumder told reporters that ten more water tankers have been launched from today for the benefit of the city residents.
Especially in Agartala city there is a huge demand for drinking water during various religious functions and social events and sometimes if there is a disruption in drinking water supply then arrangements are made to reach drinking water through tankers. Therefore, with special attention to that, an initiative has been taken to inaugurate 10 tanks of 1000 liters, he said.
Also, today he criticized the Left Front government saying that during the 25 years of the Left Front government; only five tanks were kept for the people of the city. As a result, when there was a shortage of drinking water including social events, the water tank could not reach the people properly. Therefore, to solve that problem, the current Municipal Corporation took the initiative to open 10 banks for the city residents. He said that there will not be any problem in the coming days to reach the tankers of drinking water.Tags: Tripura Others
