Biplab shook hands with Sudip: last day of assembly 12th session

Agartala: Sept 26: Biplab Kumar Deb is known as the key figure behind the change of government in the state. After the formation of the BJP-IPFT government in the 2018 assembly elections, he was elected as the leader of the legislative party. He then took charge as the chief minister of the state. Later, he resigned from the post of Chief Minister on the instructions of the party. Then the party nominated Biplab Dev from Tripura for the only Rajya Sabha seat. As expected, he won the Rajya Sabha by-election. Being elected as an MP, he has to resign from the post of MLA as per the constitutional rules.

Judging from that point of view, former Chief Minister of the state Biplap Kumar Deb went to the assembly session for the last time as a legislator on Monday. Biplab while presenting his speech in the assembly today said that he has got the opportunity to work as the chief minister for a long time. Currently, he has the opportunity to work as a member of the Rajya Sabha. In the coming days, he will speak in the Rajya Sabha on issues related to the interests of the state. For that he wants everyone's cooperation. He called upon all to give their opinion on matters related to the interest of the state. At the same time, he sought the cooperation of opposition legislators including the leader of the opposition party.

After Biplap Kumar Deb resigned from the post of Chief Minister on the instructions of the party, everyone assumed that the party might be giving a big responsibility to Biplap Kumar Deb. And in fact it happened. Naturally, Biplab Kumar Dev will have to resign from the post of MLA in accordance with the constitutional rules due to his election as a member of the Rajya Sabha. Biplab Kumar Dev also shook hands with MLA Sudip Roy Barman on this day. Not for approaching though, more for a farewell reception. Today, the assembly witnessed this drama. It may be noted that Biplap Kumar Deb attended the assembly session as a legislator for the last time on Monday before resigning from the post of MLA.
