Power Worker Electrocuted While Removing 11 KV High-Power Line

Agartala: June 10: A tragic incident unfolded in Khowai Tulaashikhari when a power worker lost his life while attempting to remove an 11 KV high-power power line. The unfortunate event occurred on Monday afternoon.
Details of the incident reveal that two power workers, Mithun Das and Arun Debbarma, were dispatched to the Behalaabari area for power line repairs. As Mithun Das attempted to cut the jumper, he suffered an electric shock and fell from the ladder. Regrettably, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Mithun Das hailed from the Khowai Chairma area. Locals and electricity department officials have confirmed that the accident occurred during an attempt to disconnect the line by applying a plus sign to the 11 KV high-power power conductor.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, the attending doctor declared Mithun Das deceased. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning.Tags: Tripura Others
